Counselling
Counselling Connect provides quick access to a free phone or video counselling session, available in English and French. You choose a convenient date and time. This service is for everyone: children, youth, adults and families in Ottawa and the surrounding area. There is no waiting list.
No referral is required for the Walk-In Counselling Clinic. You will be assisted, with no appointment, on a first-come, first-serve basis during our Walk-In Counselling Clinic hours.
BounceBack® is a free skill-building program managed by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). It is designed to help adults and youth 15+ manage low mood, mild to moderate depression and anxiety, stress or worry. Delivered over the phone with a coach and through online videos, you will get access to tools that will support you on your path to mental wellness.
BEACON digital therapy (iCBT) is now available free of charge to support Ontarians through stress and mental well-being concerns during COVID-19, funded by the Government of Ontario.
AbilitiCBT is internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (iCBT). It can help treat mild to moderate generalized anxiety, depression, and anxiety specific to a pandemic.
AbilitiCBT is free to residents of Ontario, age 16 and up
Togetherall is an online peer support and self-management tool for anyone who is at least 16 years of age and experiencing symptoms of mild to moderate depression and anxiety. Clients can connect with others who are experiencing similar issues and share what’s on their minds while gaining support and advice. The service is free for Ontario residents with a valid health card either through self or health care provider referral. The site is monitored 24/7 by trained counselors who make sure the community is supportive and safe.

Hopewell Eating Disorder Support Centre supports individuals struggling with an eating disorder as well as their families and friends. They are dedicated to offering support, information, and hope to anyone affected by eating disorders. Additionally, they engage in preemptive practices by helping people understand eating disorders and the importance of healthy attitudes towards body image, eating, and physical activity.
LGBTQ+ & Trans Health Program offers counseling and support services to those in Ottawa who needs their support. No matter what it is that you’re dealing with, they are there to listen. They offer a safe space, and will help you work through whatever is troubling you.
CFS Ottawa has been serving the Ottawa community since 1940 as a non-profit charitable organization. NROCRC is offering support and crisis counselling related to the COVID-19 crisis, as well as short-term counselling for new and existing clients. Counselling will be by telephone or video-conferencing, depending on suitability for the client, in order to maintain physical distancing for the health and safety of our clients and our staff.
NRFS is a community based and supported service, a member of Family Service Ontario and the Renfrew County United Way.
